The Ocosta Jr. High 7th grade Knowledge Bowl team finished its season in second place overall, falling to Bush Middle School of Tumwater by 29 points. The 7th graders were the best team from the Twin Harbors, outscoring Ilwaco by 18 points.
Seventh grade first team members included Ryan Anderson, Evan Waara, Cole Hatton, Mekenna Fletcher, Evalyn Marsh, Joseph Gilbert, Ashton Roberts, and Cole Foster.
The 7th grade team started this season slowly, finishing in fifth place in its first meet, falling behind Bush, Elma, North Beach, and Montesano. They had a much better second meet, bringing home red ribbons, with only Montesano beating them. Then, in their third match, they finished third, trailing Montesano and Ilwaco. Finally, they competed well but ended in third place again, losing to Bush and Montesano.
