Barbara R. Johnson was taken home to be with her Lord Feb. 12, 2015. She was born Sept. 28, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Okla. It was there, at a church function, that she met and later married the love of her life.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 68 years, Kenneth R. Johnson; her sons Benny and Ted and daughter, Roberta (Gilbert ) Myers. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rosey Marsille and sister Betty.
Barbara was so very proud of her family, including her grandchildren: Ken Marsille, Chris (Dawn) Marsille, Elisabeth (Scott) Britton, Andrew Gerber, William (Cheyenne) McGaffey, Nick (Monica) McGaffey and Sami (Nick) Anderson, and her great-grandchildren: Dominic and Michael Marsille, Noah, Connor and Isaac McGaffey and Osian and Audrey Joy McGaffey.
A memorial service for Barbara will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m. at Aldergrove Church of God, 1800 Coolidge Rd., Aberdeen, with a reception following.
