The local Beach Babes Relay for Life team will host a Light up the Docks luminary celebration in remembrance and support of loved ones stricken by cancer on Saturday evening, May 23, in Westport’s Marina District.
Lit luminary bags will be placed along the Westhaven Drive Esplanade by members of the Relay for Life team at 7:30 p.m., with the names of those who are being remembered read aloud at 9 p.m.
Luminary bags can be purchased from a member of the Beach Babes Relay for Life team or at the Islander Resort and Blue Buoy restaurant in the Marina District, as well as at the Painted Pelican antiques and collectibles shop at 1820 SR105 in Grayland.
Each bag is $5. You may decorate your luminary bag(s) any way you choose and return them to any relay team member or the business where you made your purchase through Friday, May 22.
All proceeds from this event benefit the American Cancer Society via the Relay For Life of Willapa Bay.
