If you are a Westport resident interested in helping to make a difference in your city, you have some opportunities to apply to serve on the City Council in the position that will be vacated by Rob Bearden when he steps up to serve as mayor on Jan. 1, or on city committees or commissions that have terms expiring on Dec. 31.
The Civil Service Commission will have two positions and the Planning Commission will have one.
The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will have four positions. Two represent lodging facilities, one represents the Visitor Information Center, and one position is the at-large representative.
