The Ocosta Booster Club (OBC) is a non-profit organization that was created in 1980 to support the extra-curricular athletic, academic, and recreational programs for students at Ocosta Jr/Sr High School.
The Club also promotes good sportsmanship, as well as school and personal pride, among students and Booster Club members.
Benefits for students
All funds raised by the Booster Club directly benefit students. In the 2014-2015 school year, OBC filled over $10,500 in funds requests that benefited 12 different clubs or groups at the Jr./Sr. High School.
OBC granted seven scholarships for a total of $5,200, and hosted Fall, Winter and Spring awards nights. The club contributed just under $4,000 towards the new scoreboards and signs in the high school gym, and looks forward to contributing to other improvements wherever they are needed.
Membership Drive
Membership is a very fundamental and essential aspect of the organization that keeps the Booster Club going year after year. Parents, teachers, community members and businesses are invited to get involved. Now is the perfect time to show your support during the Booster Club’s 2015-2016 membership drive.
Yearly memberships are $25 for Family and $35 for a Business. For a one-time membership fee of $250, there are Lifetime, In Memory Of and In Honor Of memberships available, as well. The OBC provides each member a sign that will be displayed in the Ocosta Jr./Sr. High School gymnasium. It’s a great way to show your support and your Wildcat spirit.

The deadline for existing membership renewals or new memberships is Dec. 31. Membership applications may be mailed to Ocosta Booster Club, P.O. 1741, Westport, WA 98595.
All current Lifetime members, Family or Business renewals, and new memberships submitted by Dec. 31 will be entered into a drawing for two free tickets to the Booster Club’s annual All You Can Eat Crab Feed in March.
Meetings
OBC meetings are held the second Sunday of each month from September through June from 6 to 7 p.m., in the Jr/Sr High School Library. Please join other members for a great time and for the opportunity to support our students and our school.
Officers
Booster Club officers are vital and necessary to keep the club operating so efficiently. If you are interested in becoming involved as an officer, your desire to get involved would be very much appreciated and welcomed.
At this point in time, the Booster Club is in need of individuals who are willing to work with this school year’s officers to prepare to become an official officer in June 2016. It truly is a great group to be a part of and one where everyone works together as a great team.
