In 1987, Rose also met and married her husband, Michael, and the couple started raising their family. Their son Alex, who is 25, works full time and also attends college to pursue a career in architecture. Daughter Noor, 18, graduated from high school in June and will attend college in the this fall.

When her husband accepted a new position with the State of Washington, the family relocated to Olympia 10 years ago.

Rose immediately went to work at an area salon. Over the past decade, she has built a large personal clientele that she will continue to serve at a friend’s salon in Lacey a couple of days per week, returning to Westport on Fridays to operate her own salon in a building adjacent to the couple’s vacation home.
