Grays Harbor Community Hospital Foundation awards major gifts

ABERDEEN— The Grays Harbor Community Hospital Foundation at their February 24th meeting voted unanimously to purchase nearly $35,000 worth of equipment for Grays Harbor Community Hospital. The equipment included 10 medical grade televisions for patient rooms as well as two state of the art portable EKG (electrocardiogram) machines. “Our Board members and countless volunteers work tirelessly to raise funds to support the needs of our Community Hospital; it is a pleasure to be able to help the hospital which in turn helps our community” said Pamela Nygaard, Hospital Foundation Chair.

“Last year we performed 9,976 EKG reads on patients at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Having state of the art equipment is very important when you are helping this many people every year” says Valerie Norwood, Supervisor of Cardio Pulmonary at Grays Harbor Community Hospital.

The Grays Harbor Community Hospital Foundation is a 501(C)3 organization with a nine person volunteer Board of Directors made up of community members with varied back grounds all supporting Grays Harbor Community Hospital through fundraising and advocacy. Previous gifts to the hospital include equipment for pediatric physical therapy, distraction kits for pediatric emergency department patients and state of the art beds for the critical care unit.
