Beachcombing at the Library
March 3 - 1-2 p.m. for adults. Super-beachcomber Janiece Tanner West will share stories about her beach adventures far-and-wide, and show some of her treasures. You may bring your own beach finds for show and tell. Refreshments will be served.

March 3 - The Grays Harbor Democratic Party Club will meet at 7 p.m. at the Polish Club, 823 West First Street, Aberdeen. The group meets the first Thursday of each month except on holidays.
VFW Men’s Auxiliary
March 7 - Westport South Beach VFW Post #3057 Men’s Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. in the VFW Post Home in Westport. All Men’s Auxiliary members and potential members are encouraged to attend. The group meets the first Monday of each month.
Parks & Rec meeting
March 7 - South Beach Parks & Recreation District commission members meet at 6 p.m. at the Grayland Community Hall The District owns and manages the Grayland Community Hall and its surrounding grounds.
All community members residing within the boundaries of the Ocosta School District are automatically members of the Parks & Recreation District. Public attendance at meetings, participation and suggestions are encouraged and welcomed.
The commissioners usually meet the first Monday of each month.
Grayland Water District
March 8 – NOTE! DATE CHANGE TO second Tuesday this month. - The regular monthly Grays Harbor Water District No. 1 Commission meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in the Water District office located at 2058 SR105.

Tokeland/North Cove Chamber
March 8 - Tokeland/North Cove Chamber of Commerce members will meet at Bayshore RV Park at 9 a.m. Come learn the results of the Tokeland Marina Survey. All individuals interested in the community, whether you are a business owner or not, are welcome to come and express your ideas and share your community needs

March 8 - Grays Harbor Fire District #3 commissioners’ monthly meetings are held at Old Westport City Hall at 506. N. Montesano St. in uptown Westport. Use the door next to the former Police Department entrance.

Harmonica Pocket Presents: Get Loose With Seuss
March 8 - 3:30-4:30 p.m., for all ages at the Westport Library. In this “Harmonica Pocket” show, we will learn about the real Dr. Seuss, and celebrate his birthday. We’ll learn the history of “Horton Hatches an Egg,” sing the words to “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,” and help save the Whos. This event is a part of Family Read & Sing Aloud, a Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.

Dr. Seuss at Library
March 11 - 2:30-3:30 p.m., for all ages. Get Seuss-ified with a special, one-hour story time. Have fun reading stories, doing crafts, and playing games.
Historical Society Quarterly Potluck Meeting
March 11 - Westport South Beach Historical Society will hold its Quarterly Meeting on Friday, March 11, at 6 p.m. in McCausland Hall on the Westport Maritime Museum campus. All Society members and other interested community members and visitors are cordially invited to attend to learn more about the Society’s mission and projects. Bring your favorite main dish, side or dessert to shares. Members are also requested to bring their special ‘beach finds’ for a short show-and-tell activity.
LEGO® Club
March 11 - 3:30-4:30 p.m., for children. Explore your creativity and have fun building with LEGO® bricks at the library.
GH Genealogy Society
March 12 - The Grays Harbor Genealogy Society will hold its monthly meeting at the Hoquiam Timberland Library upstairs at 10 a.m. Tom Quigg will discuss Grays Harbor history. Visitors welcome. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
Ocosta Booster Club
March 13 - The Ocosta Booster Club monthly meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the Ocosta High School library. All South Beach citizens interested in our schools are invited to attend.
The booster club provides financial support for athletic and academic programs, sports banquets, individual camps, state competitions, sports equipment and scholarships for students at Ocosta Jr/Sr High.
The club usually meets the second Sunday of each month.
Grayland Children’s Hospital Guild
March 17 - The Grayland Children’s Hospital Guild will meet at 11 a.m. South Beach Presbyterian Church on SR105, a quarter-mile south of the Grayland ‘T’. New members always welcome. Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month with the exception of July, August and December.

Library Readers Group
March 18 - 10-11 a.m., for adults at the Westport Library. Read or listen to “One Thousand White Women” by Jim Fergus and join your friends and neighbors in a lively discussion.
Library goes Bollywood
March 19 – Get a taste of India with a Bollywood-inspired afternoon from 2 – 3:30 p.m. For adults and teens. Belly dance instructor Loni Hooper will lead a class starting at 2 p.m. to teach everyone some Bollywood moves. Then enjoy chai while creating Indian-themed crafts.
Sing to Your Librarian Week
March 21-26 - All day. Visit your local Timberland library. Children who SING a nursery rhyme or the ABC song to their librarian will receive a set of stickers.
American Legion
March 24 - Westport American Legion Post #140 and its Ladies Auxiliary will meet in the VFW Youth Center for a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. meeting. The Youth Center is located behind the VFW Post Home at 211 E. Pacific Ave. in Westport.
Meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of each month February through November.
Broomstick Pool
March 31 – Broomstick Pool fun returns to the Local Bar & Grill in Grayland the last Thursday of every month, starting at 1 p.m. It costs $3 to play, with the pot split among the top finishers.
Blackout Poetry
April 1-30 - For all ages. April is National Poetry Month. Come by the library anytime in April and pick up your DIY Blackout Poetry kit. It’s easy and fun to create new poetry from an old book, magazine or newspaper.
North Willapa Artist Community
April 5 - The North Willapa Artist Community will meet at 6 p.m. at the Bayshore RV Park gathering room. The park is located at 2941 Kindred Ave. across from the Tokeland Hotel.
The group promotes the study and appreciation of art through exhibitions, fairs, lectures, classes and public displays in the Tokeland and North Cove area.

Outreach Spaghetti Dinner
April 5 - South Beach Christian Outreach (SBCO) will offer a fundraising spaghetti dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Living Hope Church, located at 617 S. Forrest St. in uptown Westport.
A $5 donation is requested to help defray the cost of your meal and to help neighbors in need on the South Beach.
The dinners are offered the first Tuesday of each month with the exception of December.
SBCO Board meeting
April 5 - The monthly South Beach Christian Outreach (SBCO) board meeting is held at 3:30 p.m. at Living Hope Church, located at 617 S. Forrest St. in uptown Westport.
Anyone interested in learning more about how SBCO helps neighbors in need in our community or volunteering to help is welcome to attend. The board meets the first Tuesday of each month.
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC)
April 6 - The regularly scheduled meeting of the City of Westport Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Westport City Council Chambers at 506 N. Montesano St. the first Wednesday of each month. The public is welcome to attend the meetings.
The committee studies options and considers submitted proposals for using the 5% excise taxes collected in the city each year that are earmarked for tourism promotion, and then makes recommendations to the City Council for specific expenditures approval.

Grayland Neighborhood Watch
April 7 - Members of Grayland Neighborhood Watch and all other interested South Beach citizens will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, at the Grayland Community Hall this month. The guest speaker will be a representative from G.H. PUD, who will discuss the PUD’s security lighting program.
All South Beach citizens are invited to attend.

April 11 - Pacific County Democrats will meet at 7 p.m. at the Pacific County Courthouse Annex, 1216 W. Robert Bush Drive in South Bend.
