The Ocosta School District Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Steve Quinby at the July 19th Board meeting. Quinby resigned due to the hiring of a relative for a teaching position with the district.
The open School Board Director at-large position will be filled by appointment and is open to anyone living within school district boundaries.
To be legally eligible for the office of school director, a person must be a Registered voter in the school district.
The appointed candidate will serve until Dec. 31, 2017, or the next scheduled election.
Interested parties should contact the Ocosta School District Office at 360-268-9125, Ext. 1002 for an application.
The application and a letter of interest should be submitted to the District Office by 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016.
