In addition to OHS Class of 2015 Valedictorian, Luke Anderson, and Salutatorian, Bryce Hongell, who were featured in last week’s South Beach Bulletin, Angela Morovic, Kaytlyn Douglass and George Prigmore IV will graduate on June 5 with High Honors.

Students earning High Honors not only must have a cumulative high school grade-point-average of at least 3.50 through the first term of their senior year, but also need to complete a prescribed list of advanced level coursework.

Angela Morovic

Angela Morovic will graduate with a 3.742 grade point average. She is the daughter of Darko and Darcee Morovic of Westport.

Angela has attended Ocosta Schools since kindergarten. Her favorite subjects this year are English and art.

Angela plans to attend Western Washington University in the fall.

Kaytlyn Douglass

Kaytlyn Douglass will graduate with a 3.741 grade point average. She is the daughter of William and Misty Douglass, of Westport.

Kaytlyn has attended Ocosta Schools for the past four years. Her favorite subjects this year include Advanced Placement English, math and journalism.

Kaytlyn plans to attend Grand Canyon University to major in psychology. She wants to pursue a career as a counselor.

George Prigmore IV

George Prigmore will graduate with a 3.702 grade point average. He is the son of George and Kim Prigmore of Westport.

He has attended Ocosta Schools since the 5th grade.

George plans to attend Lane Community College, and then transfer to the University of Oregon to major in journalism, with the intention of becoming a broadcast journalist.

Honors grads

Taylor Miller, Christopher Timm, Mikayla Krieger and Shelby Henness will graduate with Honors.

In order to graduate with Honors, students must have a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 through the first term of their senior year. These students will wear a silver cord at graduation.

Taylor Miller

Taylor Miller will graduate with a 3.747 grade point average. He is the son of Greg and Sonya Miller of Westport.

He has attended Ocosta Schools since kindergarten. His favorite subject this year is journalism.

Taylor plans to attend Grays Harbor College, then transfer to a University of to major in business marketing.

Christopher Timm

Christopher Timm will graduate with a 3.435 grade point average. He is the son of David and Valery Timm of Ocosta.

He has attended Ocosta Schools since kindergarten. His favorite subjects this year are Natural Resources and Contemporary World Problems.

Chris plans to work toward a career with the state Fish & Wildlife Department.

Mikayla Krieger

Mikayla Krieger will graduate with a 3.225 grade point average. She is the daughter of Jeff and Donna Crandall of Westport.

She has attended Ocosta Schools for the past 10 years. Her favorite subjects this year include English and Spanish.

Mikayla plans to attend a four-year college to earn degrees in anthropology and journalism.

Shelby Henness

Shelby Henness will graduate with a 3.224 grade point average. She is the daughter of Loren Henness of Westport and Kim Henness of Grayland.

She has attended Ocosta Schools since Kindergarten. Her favorite subjects this year include health and physical education.

Shelby plans to attend South Puget Sound Community College and then transfer to Eastern Washington University to complete a degree in sports medicine.
