The need for services from the South Beach Food Bank will increase considerably when school is out in less than a month, when families who rely on the free and reduced lunch programs offered at school will no longer have those services available during the summer months.
To help meet that need, the Westport Postal Station has placed a donation bin in the main lobby across from the service counter for the convenience of postal customers who wish to participate in the station’s annual food drive through tomorrow, Friday, May 22.
Postal patrons are encouraged to drop off a donation of non-perishable food when you come to the post office to pick up your mail today or tomorrow. Let’s fill that bin to overflowing, South Beachers!
