A group of 17 adults and youth members of South Beach Christian Center will participate in a mission trip to the Dream Center in Los Angeles, Calif. April 2-10.
The Dream Center is a volunteer-driven organization that finds and fulfills the needs of more than 80,000 individuals and families each month. Some of these needs include mobile hunger relief, a mobile medical program, a transitional living program for homeless families, foster care intervention, a shelter for human trafficking victims and much more.
During the week, the group will participate in a number of these outreaches in the anticipation that they will be better equipped to apply the same principles and practices in the South Beach area to improve people’s situations.

Fundraiser Sunday
The cost of the mission trip is approximately $850 per person. To help with expenses, the Christian Center will host a fundraiser this Sunday, Feb. 28, from 3-6 p.m. with all proceeds going toward the trip.
Enjoy an all-you-can eat spaghetti-with-sides dinner and a silent and live auction. The cost is $5 per person. Pre-sale tickets are available by calling the church, or you may pay at the door.
Local area businesses and individuals have donated items for the auctions, with the silent auction during dinner service and the live auction starting at 5 p.m.
