Windermere Real Estate Westport owner/broker, Mike Coverdale, has been chosen by the Westport City Council to fill the vacant seat on the City of Westport Planning Commission.
The seat on the commission was formerly held by newly appointed Westport City Councilman Bob Parnell.
Coverdale is a 42-year Westport resident who has owned property here for 21 years and his own real estate sales firms for the past 22.
In applying for the appointment, Coverdale cited his many courses dealing with land use, critical areas and land legislation related to his real estate business that will stand him in good stead as a member of the Planning Commission.
Coverdale previously served on the Commission in the mid 1990s, was president of the Westport Grayland Chamber of Commerce, is a State Association of Realtors representative and previously served on the City’s Water Rights Board.
