Youth soccer players can register for the fall season beginning today, May 28. Registration forms will be distributed at school. South Beach Youth Soccer Club officers will also be available before and after the Dance Festival on June 12 at Ocosta High School to answer questions and register participants.
Cost to register is $25 for Under-8 players and $35 for Under-9 and above players until June 15. The cost doubles on June 16 to $50 for U-8 and $70 for U-9 and above.
Under-8 teams play locally and are coached by parents or Ocosta High School soccer players. They practice and play on Saturday mornings in September and October. Under-9 and Under-10 teams play within Grays Harbor and Mason Counties. Under-11 and above teams play in those two counties, as well as in Thurston County and Lewis County competitive recreation leagues.
Returning coaches for this fall currently are Doug Davis, Sean Sweeney and George Prigmore. More coaches will be needed this year to accommodate more teams.
If you have questions regarding the South Beach Youth Soccer Club or are interested in coaching, contact President Mike King at 581-0474 or Secretary and Registrar Lisa Benn at 580-2021.
