A celebration of life potluck for longtime Westport charterboat skipper and charter office owner, Alvin (Al) Nyhus Jr., will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Westport South Beach VFW Post #3057. Al passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on Nov 30, 2014 at his home in Tacoma. He was 84.
The VFW Post Home is located at 211 E. Pacific Ave. in Westport.
