Westport woman arraigned after allegedly pressuring teen into sending nude photos

A Westport woman appeared in court on Monday of this week for allegedly pressuring a teenage girl to send her nude photos.

Molly Renee Walker, 52, admitted to police that she coerced the girl into sending nude photos on two occasions. She pleaded not guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor and dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the second degree.

Allegations against Walker came after the victim’s mother found a message coming from Walker on her daughter’s phone that asked for pictures of her breasts and vagina, court documents state. The victim’s mother then found nude photographs of her daughter sent in response to Walker’s requests.

The victim told her mother she had been sending the pictures for “some time” in order to keep Walker from going to prison. Court documents state that Walker told both police and the victim that a man was threatening to send her to prison for eight years if he did not receive the photos from her.

Deputy Prosecutor Jason Walker was covering for prosecuting attorney Erin Jany at Monday’s hearing, as Jany was out of the office. He said he was not aware of who the man Walker referred to was or whether or not Walker’s story was true.

Walker apologized to the victim’s mother in a Facebook message, saying, “I swear on my father’s grave it won’t happen again, please forgive me. … I never meant for this to happen,” court documents state.

In a May press release, the State Patrol said it was interested in hearing from others in the community whose children might have had contact with Walker.
