Yelm resident, Justin Shaw shows off his Westport Charterboat Association Derby leading 48 lb. lingcod.
On Friday, May 29, Yelm resident, Justin Shaw hooked into the largest lingcod the Westport Charterboat Association Derby has recorded in fifteen years. The big fish tipped the scales at 48 pounds and, of course, is now the new season derby leader.
Shaw took home the weekly $500 Lingcod Derby prize and is the frontrunner for the $1,500 grand prize at the end of the season.
