3:10 a.m. – 400 Block N. Central. Theft. Truck rack reported missing. Reporting party observed theft from residence window and was able to describe truck. Officer located suspect truck in 2000 Block of S. Forrest. Officer contacted driver. When confronted with information related to owner’s ability to identify the rack due to a tag attached to it, suspect admitted theft. Rack returned to owner. Suspect issued Criminal Citation for Theft 3rd Degree and trespassing 2nd Degree. Released at scene.
4:48 p.m. – 100 Block W. Newell. Follow up conducted on illegal parking/vehicle repair for motor home after confirming that motor home was parked on City right-of-way. At 9:30 p.m., officer observed registered owner of vehicle removing blocks in preparation to move it. City will tow on July 9 if not removed by then.
6:04 p.m. – 1600 Block N. Montesano – Hungry Whale overnight parking area. Agency Assist for GHCSO. Registered Sex Offender address verification. Subject not located at address. Employees at business have no record of subject staying at or renting a space at listed location.
6:08 p.m. – N. Montesano & E. Wilson. Temporary Protection Order service.

12:59 a.m. – 900 Block S. Forrest. Motorcycle observed traveling northbound without a functioning headlight. Upon observing officer, driver sped up to in excess of 70-mph., eventually turning into Holand Center, narrowly missing multiple trailers. Officer stopped following vehicle for safety reasons. Officer then went to known suspect’s residence, where individuals there confirmed the clothing of both the driver and his female passenger, further stating that they had left the location on the motorcycle approximately ten minutes earlier. Officer submitted paperwork requesting a felony warrant be issued for the suspect’s arrest.
10:00 a.m. – 400 Block S. Montesano. Trespass Complaint. Realtor listing property requested extra patrols due to unknown subjects repeatedly breaking into the residence and stripping metal piping. Access is being gained through back garage.
5:09 p.m. – 300 Block S. Hoquiam. Dirt/Motorbike disturbance. Report of a dirt bike driven by a known individual with a suspended license speeding up and down the street. Officer attempted to locate with negative results.
5:56 p.m. – 100 Block S. Montesano. Red Apple Market. Reported two-vehicle collision in lot. Drivers exchanged insurance information. Damage to both vehicles under state reporting threshold amount.
7:08 p.m. – N. Nyhus & Lamb. Possible theft. Officer contacted a male and female and determined that no theft had occurred. Male had non-extraditable warrants. Female had four Westport warrants with total bail amount of $10,200. She was arrested, processed at P.D., given a new court date and released due to jail status RED.
8:22 p.m. – 2200 Block Westhaven – Masco Petroleum. 911 hang-up. Busy signal on recall. Officer checked area with negative result.
9:01 p.m. – 2200 Block Westhaven – Masco Petroleum. 911 call from landline at listed location. Heavy static heard on recall. Officer checked fuel pumps buildings and pier/float area with negative results.
11:42 p.m. – 1500 Block S. Aberdeen. Loud Music complaint. Agency Assist for GHCSO. Reporting party called back and cancelled call while officer was in route, reporting that music had stopped.
11:53 p.m. – 1700 Block S. Forrest. Manager of Coastal Cottages upset with the way GHCSO deputies handled a call earlier in the day. Advised that Sheriff’s Office needed to be contacted since call was outside WPD jurisdiction.

6:10 a.m. – P.D. Contact from Child Protection Services requesting a welfare check on children. Officer contacted grandparents at location. They stated that children are now residing with relatives in Lakewood. CPS caseworker advised.
6:41 a.m. – 2200 Block Westhaven. 911 hang-up. Ongoing phone line problem.
12:38 p.m. – 200 Block W. Wilson. Death. Initially dispatched as a suicide. Appears to have been by natural causes.
3:00 p.m. – Westport City Hall – 600 Block N. Montesano. Citizen Assist regarding civil matter. Gone on officer’s arrival.
6:35 p.m. – 300 Block S. Montesano. Citations: Failure to report Driver’s License address change. Fine: $124. No Valid Vehicle Registration on Person. Fine: $124. No Proof of Insurance. Fine: $550.
9:56 p.m. – 300 Block N. Forrest. Temporary Protection Order service. Female stated that she would hide property listed in Order that male, as protected person, is supposed to receive. She was advised of the consequences of such an action. She also has a Temporary Protection Order against the male subject.
11:44 p.m. –SR105 outside City limits. Agency Assist for GHCSO. Business Alarm. Officer checked business. All secure.

8:25 a.m. – South end of City. Multiple calls of loose pit bulls. At 9:43 a.m., a female reported that her dogs were mauled and that she was on the way to the veterinarian. Officer located a case regarding vicious pit bulls from June and checked that residence. Those pit bulls that matched the description of the dogs in the current calls were not at home. Dogs’ owner cited for Vicious Dogs.
8:41 a.m. – U.S. Post Office – W. Ocean. Suspicious Activity: Person. Subject upset when informed that his mailbox had been closed. He accused employees of mail theft and claimed to be a member of federal law enforcement agency, threatening to arrest them. He departed when 911 called.
12:49 p.m. – 400 Block E. Pacific. Welfare Check. Manager stated that he had seen subject, who was described as highly intoxicated at the time, at 1:30 p.m. Manager requested to advise subject to call his mother the next time that he sees him.
7:25 p.m. – 1600 Block S. Forrest. Vehicle Chase. Female arrested and booked into jail. Male was Tased and arrested. He was booked into and then released from jail.

4:32 p.m. – 600 Block N. Montesano. One male reported that another male called and threatened to assault him regarding money owed. Both agreed to leave each other alone.
5:46 p.m. – 400 Block Park. Report of known subject’s pit bulls at large again. Officer checked area with negative results for dogs and/or owner. Reporting party not at residence when officer attempted contact.
7:30 p.m. – 1600 Block N. Montesano. Vehicle stopped for No Front License Plate. Verbal Warning. Citation: No Proof of Insurance. Fine: $550.
8:53 p.m. – 900 Block S. Montesano. Domestic Difficulty: Non-Criminal. Officer contacted female at residence who stated that she had been in a verbal argument with her boyfriend who was no long on scene. No evidence of assault.
9:15 p.m. – 100 Block S. Montesano. Vehicle stopped for Improper turn. Verbal Warning. Citation: No Proof of Insurance. Fine: $550.
11:30 p.m. – 200 Block S. Broadway. Loud Music complaint. Officer found a small group of people outside – music not excessive. Homeowner advised of complaint and reminded of hour. He advised that he would keep the music down.

1:38 p.m. – Forrest & Ocean. Complaint of an adult accompanied by a child driving a go-kart up and down Forrest Avenue. Gone on officer’s arrival. Unable to locate.
3:24 p.m. – 1700 Block SR105 – Coastal Cottages. Agency Assist for GHCSO. Display of Weapon. Officer assist4d deputy with identifying persons on scene and scene security.
7:16 p.m. – 2500 Block N. Nyhus – Westport Inn. Disorderly Conduct. Report of customer being disorderly and refusing to leave. Both parties came to an agreement regarding payment for a room.
7:18 p.m. – 200 Block S. Broadway. Loud Music complaint. Officer contacted homeowner who agreed to turn music down.
7:37 p.m. – 200 Block N. Forrest. Domestic Difficulty: Non-Criminal. Male and female in verbal argument. No assault.
8:36 p.m. – P.D. Found Property. Black tri-fold wallet containing I.D. turned in. Tagged as found property and placed in safekeeping.
9:50 p.m. – 600 Block N. Montesano. Defective Tail Light – Verbal warning. No Proof of Insurance. Fine: $550. Expired Vehicle Registration. Fine: $216.

2:01 a.m. – Westhaven State Park. Camping Citation. Fine: $20.
8:30 a.m. – 1300 Block S. Montesano. Information only. Moving van will be parked alongside roadway facing the wrong way for a couple of days.
11:45 a.m. – 1600 Block W. Ocean. Teenage niece and friend came to Westport with uncle and aunt. Girls sneaked out and uncle found them on the beach at approximately 2 a.m. Girls refused to return to condo. Uncle threatened to call police if they did not return. At 4 a.m. uncle received message from mother stating that her daughter had contacted her, telling her that a friend was driving them home. The girls never arrived. At approximately 1:20 p.m., mother called, stating that daughter had contacted her, was in Tukwila and all was O.K.
11:30 p.m. – Harbor Resort – Neddie Rose Drive. Intoxicated person who was acting strangely reported to have entered business. Gone on officer’s arrival.
