ABERDEEN— The Grays Harbor Community Foundation recently announced that it has invested $98,605 into the community through its quarterly grants cycle.
The Foundation has long been a resource to Grays Harbor County nonprofit organizations by offering grants to non-profits four times a year. This quarter, the Foundation awarded 10 grants that totaled $74,218.
Organizations funded
The organizations that were funded include: Ocosta School District for technology needs, Montesano School District to support the Jack Rottle Field Turf Project and the Drama Club, Coastal Harvest for a Wild Game Project in conjunction with the State Department of Fish and Wildlife, Lake Quinault School District for Early Learning Activities and field trips, the Hoquiam Police Department for their Explorer Scout Program, Coastal Interpretative Center for educational materials, Washington Nonprofits for local agency training, Camp Bethel for a staff matching grant and Hoquiam School District for their Summer Bookmobile..
“Over the years the Foundation has partnered with numerous non-profits through our Grants program to improve the quality of life in our communities. This year is no exception in the quality of applications that we have been able to fund that will have a positive impact on communities all over the county,” said Grants Committee Chairman, Dr. Dave Westby.
Grant requests deadlines
The Foundation has quarterly grant opportunities with applications accepted on the first business day of January, April, July, and October each year. The next submission deadline is July 1.
