According to a Washington State Patrol memo, Westport resident, Robert C. Kinnaman, 42, crashed his motorcycle on SR105 last Friday, May 29, while attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.
The accident occurred three miles south of Aberdeen at about 2:30 p.m. Kinnaman, who was traveling north at a high rate of speed, failed to negotiate a curve and went off the highway shortly after the trooper terminated his pursuit.
He was injured and transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for treatment. Due to privacy laws, no information is available regarding his condition.
Kinnaman’s 2000 Triumph Sprint motorcycle was totaled and impounded. According to the memo, he was wearing an approved helmet and no drugs or alcohol were involved.
Kinnaman was charged with Felony Eluding, Driving While License Suspended and Speeding.
