Despite the Wildcat Boys basketball team’s elimination from state competition this year, the 2015-16 team established a school record for regular-season victories by downing South Bend 62-48 in a Pacific League finale on Friday, Feb. 5, at Koplitz Fieldhouse.
Completing league play at 9-1, the Wildcats registered a 19-1 regular season total. That broke the school mark set by the 1971 state Class A championship team.
Individual records were also broken. Connor Pegg broke both the OHS season and career records for rebounds and Ryan Short broke the school record for steals.
