Kick start your new year with some fun and exercise…
Enter the New Year’s Day Dune Dash 5k Fun Run in Westport. The race will start at Lighthouse State Park and run north along the Westport Light Dune Trail, then double back to the park.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with race start at 10 a.m.
The entry fee is $30 with a T-shirt included for first 70 who sign up.
Children 12 and under - $15; Couples - $55; Families with two adults and two or more children - $70. Pre-registration forms are available at Aloha Alabama restaurant in the Westport Marina District.

The Dash is sponsored by the relatively new South Beach Service Organization, whose mission is to serve children of the South Beach with scholarships for OHS seniors and to support other youth activities, as well as to honor community adults who make a difference in the lives of area children.
