Thank you to everyone who was involved with the Trek Across Tokeland. Without your support it wouldn’t have been such a success. Everyone enjoyed the day.
Thank you to the participants who walked the trails and shared the beauty of our area.
We would especially like to thank the sponsors for their contributions. The donations of money, lunches, bags, water, prizes for the drawings and the use of the shuttle were appreciated.
Permission from the Shoalwater Bay Tribe to use the three trails was essential to our success. The trail owners worked hard to get ready for Sunday. Thank you to Dave Hawthorne and family and the Shoalwater Bay Tribe for letting us use their trails and John Kealoha, who helped with the clearing of the two guided walks.
To the volunteers, some who stepped in at the last minute, thank you for your enthusiastic help with registration, selling shirts, giving information, and making people feel welcome.
Thanks to Ken Kelly for donating his time to drive the shuttle.
We are already looking forward to next summer’s Trek Across Tokeland.
