Friends, families and neighbors of the Chinook Nation are petitioning for signatures to restore their status that was taken away just 18 months after they were federally recognized in 2001.
An appeal is in process to the President of the United States, asking for executive action to right the wrongs that continue to be perpetuated on this historically important Indian Nation.
The Chinook Nation needs 10,000 signatures by March 23rd.
