This year’s annual Ocosta Jr/Sr High School Food Bowl was a complete success. The Ocosta Wildcats collected and donated a total of 6,403 pounds worth of food for the South Beach Food Bank this winter. This accomplishment was made possible by both the students of Ocosta and members of the community.
Each year, the Ocosta Wildcats partake in a friendly competition with their rival school, the North Beach Hyaks, to see who can accumulate the most food for their local food bank. This year the Wildcats came out on top and are proud to announce they surpassed the Hyaks by over 1,000 pounds.
In recognition of this accomplishment North Beach High School will display an Ocosta Wildcats banner in their home gym.
The Ocosta Wildcats would like to thank the students, parents, local businesses, and community members for all of the support they showed for this important cause of helping to fill our local food bank.
The Wildcats look forward to continuing this tradition of helping the people of our community for years to come.
