UFO investigator searches for otherworldly truth

James Clarkson spent 20 years on the Aberdeen police force. Before that, he was a military police investigator, so solving mysteries has been at the heart of his long law enforcement career. These days, Clarkson’s investigations focus on outer space, the possibility of life on other planets, and of earthly visits from non-human space travelers.

Clarkson will talk about his work as a UFO investigator this Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Westport Timberland Library from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“I’m not a UFO buff, believer or a dilettante,” Clarkson says on his website. He is a serious researcher who takes a systematic approach to find the truth behind reported UFO sightings and experiences. In this talk, Clarkson will share what he knows about a fiery object that fell from the skies over Grays Harbor County on Nov. 25, 1979.

Clarkson’s books on this subject, “Tell My Story: June Crain, The Air Force & UFOs,” and “Westport UFO Crash Retrieval Event: A Case Study,” are available at the library.

The Friends of the Westport Library is sponsoring this program. All Timberland Regional Library programs are free and open to the public.

The Westport Library is located at 101 E. Harms Drive.
