Each year, VFW Post #3057 and its Auxiliaries raise funds for a community Children’s Christmas Party in December. The biggest fundraising project for the party is set for Saturday, July 20, at the VFW Post Home, 211 E. Pacific Ave. in uptown Westport.
Billed as Christmas in July, the event is open to everyone. Community members and visitors are most welcome and encouraged to participate in some or all of the activities offered.
The event starts at 1 p.m. with a Silent Auction. A fire-grilled salmon dinner will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. at $12.50 per person. The live auction starts at 5 p.m.
There also will be a raffle for a new TV and a large BBQ.
