Housekeeper Maria scolds new movie studio owner Spencer Pierce for disturbing the monster Hubert, who lives in their closet.
The Willapa Players will offer “It’s a Scream,” opening Friday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hannan Playhouse in Raymond.
The play is best described by its subtitle — “A horror-bly funny comedy.” Written by David DeBoy and directed by Jim White, the comedy pokes fun at old 1930s-style horror films and includes such things as a monster in the closet, ghosts, and a disembodied brain and heart seen on stage.
Evening performances are set for Saturday, March 12, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. with a Sunday, March 13, matinee at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10 — $8 for seniors over 65 and students through college. They are available at South Bend Pharmacy, Everyone’s Video and More, The Pitchwood Alehouse and at the door.
