ILWACO — Ocosta used a variety of weapons to beat Ilwaco, 25-11, 25-16, 25-21, in a Pacific League contest Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Ilwaco.

Ocosta’s Erika Snider, Layne Martin and Evalyn Marsh each put 100 percent of their serves into play. Martin and Kaylee Barnum put down 15 kills apiece, with Barnum also contributing five aces and five blocks.

Snider had 12 kills, Marsh 13 digs and Lillyan Barnum 10 digs for the Wildcats (2-0, 7-1).

“We missed some serves we shouldn’t have in the third game. But in the first two, we served very well and we passed well, too,” Wildcat coach Barbara Rasmus said.

The Wildcats won the JV match, 25-13, 25-12. The C squads split two sets.

Ocosta was scheduled to host Northwest Christian on Thursday in a varsity-only match scheduled for 6 p.m.
