The Westport South Beach Historical Society will hold its annual Whale of a Sale this weekend at the Westport Maritime Museum’s McCausland Hall.
The hall will be packed with collectibles, antiques, tools, books, houshold goods, furniture, home decor and much more. The sale is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Donations of new and gently used items are welcome, including antiques and collectibles, but clothing is not accepted. Donated items can be dropped off through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The sale coincides with a separate event, the annual Westport/Grayland Chamber of Commerce crab races and derby. There are also clam tides during the weekend, and the if you purchase a derby ticket at the Westport Marina you can participate in the WEfish/Washington Dungeness Crab Fisherman’s Association razor clam derby.
The sale will include baked goods donated from area residents. Wrapped items can be dropped off at the museum Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Per health codes, fresh egg and dairy products cannot be accepted.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the Westport South Beach Historical Society. McCausland Hall is located next to the museum at 2201 Westhaven Drive in Westport.
